What is the basic eligibility criteria of NEET 2022?

There is no limit on the number of attempts a candidate can appear for NEET. Candidates can sit for the exam as many times as they want.

Who will conduct NEET 2022?

The National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct NEET.

Will NEET 2022 conduct twice a year?

No, NEET 2022 will not be conducted twice this year.

What will be the mode of entrance exam?

NEET will be conducted in offline mode i.e, pen and paper-based mode. Candidates will be given NEET OMR sheets 2021 to fill the answers which will be later electronically evaluated.

How many questions will be asked from which sections?

NEET entrance exam consists of 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( Biology + Zoology) section. There will be 45 questions each in Physics and Chemistry section and 90 questions from the Biology section. A duration of three hours will be allotted to the candidates to attempt all the questions.

Which documents should I carry along with NEET admit card?

Candidates need to carry the following documents at the NEET exam centre 2021:

• Admit card along with the passport size photograph affixed on it

• One passport size photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet

• Any one of the authorized (original, valid and non-expired) photo ID: PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID/Passport/

Note: Aspirants are advised not to carry any other items to the exam centres. Even the ball-point pens will also be made available by NTA at the exam centres. It must be noted that no arrangements will be made for candidates to keep their belongings.

I have lost my application number, how can I get it back?

 In case if the application number of candidates is lost or forgotten, the following steps can be used to retrieve it.

  1. Go to the official website of NTA NEET 2021

  2. Click on ‘Forgot registration number’ link under current events

  3. Submit the asked details like candidate’s name, name of parents, date of birth, category and security pin

  4. NEET application number to download the admit card will be sent to the email ID

Is there any difference between NEET answer key 2022 and NEET answer key by Aakash coaching institute?

Yes, the answer key prepared and released by the experts of Aakash institute will be an unofficial answer key. The NEET 2022 answer key released by NTA will be the official source of information. The answer key released by Akash institute will not be the most reliable source of NEET answer key. With the help of NEET answer key 2022, aspirants will get the approximate scores to be secured in the entrance examination. However, students must not consider it as the final one.

What is the basic eligibility criteria of NEET 2022?

 

 Candidates who wish to appear for NEET 2022 must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by the exam conducting authority. Following is the NEET eligibility criteria:

  • Aspirants must have attained the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2022, will be eligible to take NTA NEET 2021.

  • Candidates must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised central or state board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the core subjects.

  • The qualifying marks for general category applicants is 50%, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40%.

  • Candidates who belong to NRIs, OCIs, PIOs and Foreign nationals category can also apply for NEET-UG.

I have a gap year between Class 11 and Class 12. Am I eligible to appear for NEET 2022?

Yes, candidates with a gap year between Class 11 and Class 12 will be eligible for NEET UG 2022. An amendment of the Medical Council of India (MCI) specified that a student must undergo continuous two years of study to become eligible to take NEET. However, this amendment was revoked by Delhi High Court and aspirants with a year gap can appear for NEET 2022.

Can I appear for NEET 2022 even if I am older than 25 years?

The upper age limit to appear for NEET 2022 has been removed by the competent authority. Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years but there is no upper age limit to sit for the entrance test, provided all other eligibility criteria are met.

I have studied in Oriya medium school. Can I write the test in Oriya?

NEET 2021 will be available in 9 different languages other than English and Hindi. Candidates who wish to write the test in Oriya can fill the language option in NEET application form 2021.

Is a candidate who has completed Class 11 and Class 12 from an open school eligible to apply for NEET 2022?

Initially, candidates who have passed Class 12 from open school, private candidates or aspirants who have Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject at Class 12 were not eligible to appear for NEET. However, a petition was filled in High Court on October 24, 2021, seeking permission for such candidates to take the entrance examination.

Since the final decision on this matter is pending from the authorities, in the meantime, the candidature of candidates who have passed Class 10 and 12 from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or State Open Schools or as private candidates from recognised State Boards or with Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject are allowed to appear in the medical entrance exam.

What is the application fee of NEET and what is the mode of payment?

NEET 2021 application fees for general category is Rs. 1500, while that for SC/ST/PWD/transgender aspirants, it is Rs. 800. Candidates belonging to general-EWS and OBC-NCL have to pay Rs. 1400.

The above-mentioned amount of fees can be paid in online mode only through net banking, debit/credit cards and UPI using SBI/Syndicate bank/ICICI/HDFC and Paytm service provider.

Can I opt for Kannada if I am appearing for NEET in Delhi?

No, the NEET question paper in Kannada will be made available only in Karnataka. If a candidate wishes to write in Kannada then they must opt for a test city in Karnataka. However, it is advised to opt for a NEET exam centre 2021 of which the candidates is a resident.

I have finished making payment but the final confirmation page is still not being displayed. What should I do?

 Aspirants are advised to wait for 24 hours. Take the print out of the confirmation page in the next 24 hours as there could be a delay in updation of fees on NIC server from the gateway payment. This updation is done within 24 hours maximum. Thereafter if the confirmation page is still not generated, pay the fees once again and take a printout of the confirmation page. The excess fee paid will be automatically refunded in the account from which application fee has been remitted. If the problem is still not resolved, contact the respective banks for further clarification.

While submitting my application form, my session is shown as expired before as I soon as I try to submit it. Thus, the form remains unfulfilled or unsubmitted. What can I do?

It should be ensured that aspirants submit the application form within a maximum duration of 30 minutes. The session expires after this time. First, save one part of the form and save it as a draft. Save each part of the form similarly before beginning the new one. This way, none of the entered information will be lost even if the session expires. It must be ensured that candidates keep all the required information ready before commencing with the form.

At the time of clicking the ‘Submit’ button after filling the application form, my session is shown as expired. Do I need to fill a fresh form?

The application form must be filled within a duration of 30 minutes after which the session expires. Therefore, it is advisable that the candidate keep all the necessary documents handy before filling the application form. Candidates can also save each part of their application form as a draft before beginning a new one. This way, none of the information entered in the application will be lost if the session expires.

How to get proof of fee payment made to NTA NEET 2022?

Once the confirmation page is generated, it means the fee payment has been successful. Further, in the lower portion of the confirmation page, details of the fee payment such as transaction ID are given which may be saved for future reference. No other receipt will be provided.

Do I need to upload a photograph with white background, name and date at the bottom?

 Earlier, it was mandatory to upload a passport picture with a white background and name and date at the bottom of the picture. Later, through an official notification, the authority had announced that photographs without the name and date will also

Can I withdraw my NEET application form? Will I get a refund for it?

Once the application form has been submitted, it cannot be withdrawn or cancelled. The application fee of NEET 2021 is non-refundable.

Which details can we edit with correction window facility?

After the conclusion of the last date to fill the NEET application form, NTA will provide a correction window facility through which certain fields can be edited. Candidates must note that not all details can be edited from the application form NEET 2021. Details like personal information, place of birth, the medium of question paper, choice of NEET exam cities, academic details, address, parent’s name can be edited.

Can I edit my Class 12 qualifying code in the NEET application form?

Yes, you can change the Class 12 qualifying code in NEET application form 2021. Candidates will have to use their login credentials to correct such details.

Will I be able to change my photograph through the correction window facility?

Candidates who have uploaded an erroneous image at the time of filling the NEET application form 2021 will be intimated via email to upload the correct image as per the guidelines laid down by NTA. Candidates will have to upload the image within the stipulated time period. By entering the login credentials, candidates will be able to upload the passport size photo.

I have put an image without a name and white background, will my application be rejected?

The authority has issued a notice that photograph without name, date or white background will not be rejected.

Can I change my address in the application form?

Candidates can edit the address in their application form using the NEET correction window facility. To change the address in the NEET application, candidates need to use their login credentials and make changes in the address field.

Can I change the option of language once the form is submitted?

Option once exercised, cannot be changed after submission of the application form as centres will be allotted based on the medium of the question paper. Candidates need to be very careful in choosing the medium of the question paper.

If I have completed my Class 10 from one state and Class 12 from another, then which state should I select in the field asking for ‘State of Eligibility (for 15% All India Quota)?

The state selected for 15% All India Quota has no bearing on the student’s admission process since admissions to 15% All India Quota seats don’t have any domicile requirements. It does not matter where Class 10 or Class 12 was completed since any candidate can apply to any state except Jammu and Kashmir for the All India Quota seats in NEET 2021. The best option to enter in this field is the state where the candidate’s permanent address is located or the state where the candidate has full domicile eligibility for 85% state quota seats.

What year of passing should I enter my NEET application form if I have appeared for improvement exam after Class 12?

As long as aspirants are appearing in the improvement exam only to get better marks and not because they have failed in any subjects and wish to pass, then enter the original year of passing only. If they have already cleared their Class 12 with the necessary passing marks in the first attempt, and that these marks are above the required marks for NEET eligibility, then that should be the year which an aspirant should enter in the application form. However, if students have not cleared Class 12 and are appearing again to pass certain subjects in the exam, then they should enter as appearing and choose Code 01 as their qualifying exam code.

I have paid the application fee twice by mistake. Will I get a refund of the extra fee paid?

Yes, the fee that has not been updated will be refunded to the candidate within 7 working days.

I have made the online payment but my confirmation page has not been generated. What should I do?

Such a problem occurs because of the drop in connectivity from Banks’ server to the NIC server on which NTA website has been hosted. In such circumstances, Banks’ servers are sending the message to NIC server 2-3 times a day to ensure that the dropped communication cycle is completed. Once your payment communication reaches the NIC server, you will be able to generate the confirmation page. You are advised to wait for 24 hours if such problem has been faced by you.

Will there be any change in NEET exam pattern 2022?

The exam pattern will be revealed with the information brochure of NEET 2022. So far there has been no notification which suggests changes in the NEET 2022 exam pattern.

NEET syllabus 2022

From the beginning, it has been mentioned that syllabus will be the same. The questions will be asked from the topics covered in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Medium of exam

NEET will be conducted in 11 languages which include English and Hindi.

Mode of exam

Earlier, the exam was expected to be held in online mode, but later on, it was changed. Like last year, the exam will be conducted in offline mode.

What will be the syllabus of NEET and what type of questions will be asked in the exam?

NEET UG syllabus will be based on the topics covered in Class 11 and 12 for all three subjects. NEET question paper includes 180 multiple-choice questions. check our syllbus tab.

I am not able to check the application status. Will I be able to download my NEET 2022 admit card?

To download the hall ticket of NEET, one needs to enter the registration number and password. If the application status cannot be checked, but if a candidate has the confirmation page, then they can download the admit card.

Note: Unable of downloading the NEET admit card 2022 signifies that the application form of the applicant has not been accepted by the authority.

If one does not get the admit card, whom to contact?

Each candidate will be required to download the admit card of NEET from the official website of NEET as it will not be sent individually. In case candidates face issued while downloading the admit card they must immediately contact the exam conducting authority. Candidates can intimate the authority via email.

There are wrong details printed on my NEET admit card, what should I do?

In case of discrepancy in the admit card, candidates are required to intimate the exam conducting authority. Candidates can do so by sending an email at neetug-nta@nic.in.

What if I have lost my NEET admit card?

Once a candidate has downloaded their admit card, a soft copy of it will also be sent be on their registered email ID. If the downloaded admit card is lost, candidates are advised not to panic and check their email ID.

Which photo will be asked to furnish during the examination?

 The photograph which has been used while filling the application form and the same which has been uploaded on your admit card. The specifications of passport size photograph must be affixed is mentioned above.

What is the Entry time at the Examination Hall?

The entry will be allowed from 12:00 P.M. However, no one will be allowed to enter in the centre after 01:30 P.M.

What should I do a day before the NEET examination?

 The answer to this question is nothing. Following are the tips which will help you a day before the exam:

• Do nothing and try not to panic.

• One can also take the help of meditation to get relaxed.

• And try to speak about your anxiety without panicking to your parents or the concerned elders.

• Later in the evening or afternoon (if not tired), they can go through some previous years question papers, but don’t try to solve it.

• Students must stay positive. Thinking negative and try to panic before the D-day is natural, but the way to deal with it will make you a game-changer.

• Take sleep of 7-8 hours

Which dress code should be followed while appearing for NEET 2022?

To follow the NEET dress code 2022 correctly, it is mandatory for aspirants to check the following details:

Dress code for male aspirants:

• Male candidates must make sure they wear half-sleeves shirt/t-shirts during the examination. The full sleeves shirts are not allowed.

• Last year, the authority had mentioned that the clothes should be light which meant that zips, pockets, big buttons and elaborate embroidery should be avoided.

• Boys should not wear kurta-pyjamas, instead of that, they can prefer trousers on the D-day.

• Shoes are also not allowed, therefore, they can wear slippers and sandals

Dress code of female candidates:

• Female aspirants should avoid wearing clothes with more embroidery, flowers, brooches and buttons.

• The clothes should be light and half-sleeves

• For footwear, girls must wear slippers and sandals with low heels. Shoes are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.

• Females are advised not to wear jewellery like earrings, rings, pendants, nose ring, necklace or any other ornaments at the time of examination.

Customary dresses

• The customary dresses refer to traditional dresses or attire pertaining to a specific religion. Burqa and headscarves will be included in this. As per the order of Delhi High Court last year, Sikh aspirants were allowed to carry Kangha, Kara and Kirpan with them inside the examination hall. Such articles will be considered as customary articles.

• While filling the application form of NEET 2021, candidates will be asked whether they are intended to wear such customary dresses or any other clothing which is contrary to the dress code.
